Dirk Collins is an award-winning filmmaker, director, and producer whose pioneering work in adventure media has shaped the global narrative of action sports and exploration for nearly three decades. Raised in the wilds of Alaska, Dirk’s connection to the outdoors was forged through firsthand experiences in skiing, climbing, mountaineering, and wilderness travel—experiences that would later fuel his creative vision.

Dirk is best known for co-founding Teton Gravity Research (TGR), one of the most iconic action sports media companies in the world. Through TGR, he helped revolutionize ski and snowboard filmmaking, directing and producing numerous award-winning features that set a new standard for the genre. His work blended cinematic scale with athlete-driven authenticity, helping turn niche sports into global cultural movements.

After over a decade of shaping the trajectory of adventure media at TGR, Dirk founded OneEyedBird, a boutique production and creative agency specializing in branded content, documentary filmmaking, and high-stakes commercial shoots. Whether working with military units, automotive giants, or luxury outdoor brands, Dirk brought his signature ability to lead teams in the most remote, complex, and challenging environments on Earth.
